EPDM Flooring
EPDM flooring systems offer customized solutions with various thickness and color options to meet specific project requirements. The system thickness is determined according to usage intensity and safety standards, optimizing shock absorption performance. Especially in children's playgrounds, the structure can be designed in compliance with HIC criteria to provide enhanced fall protection.
Thanks to its permeable structure, it prevents water accumulation on the surface after rainfall and allows for quick drying. This feature provides a significant advantage in outdoor applications in terms of both safety and user comfort. Additionally, its UV-resistant composition minimizes color fading, helping the surface maintain its aesthetic appearance for many years.
As a seamless, on-site poured system, EPDM creates a smooth and joint-free surface. This not only improves durability but also enhances hygiene and ease of maintenance. With proper installation and regular inspection, EPDM flooring delivers a safe, comfortable, and cost-effective solution for long-term use.
Technical Specifications
Technical Structure
EPDM systems are generally applied as multi-layered structures:
1️⃣ Subbase
- Concrete, asphalt, or SBR rubber base
- Drainage slope and surface smoothness are checked
2️⃣ SBR Base Layer (Optional)
- Recycled black rubber granules
- Shock-absorbing and cost-optimizing layer
- Typical thickness ranges between 10–40 mm
3️⃣ EPDM Top Layer
- Colored EPDM granules + polyurethane binder
- 8–15 mm thickness
- UV-resistant and decorative surface
Total system thickness may vary between 15 mm and 55 mm depending on the intended use.
